As well as attending our final rehearsal for tomorrow's carol service at St. John's this morning, the choir were hard at work, singing their hearts out for the residents of Greathed Manor today. Ably accompanied by Miss Carter and her viola, the children sang a mixture of old favourites and new nativity songs, all of which were received with relish by the residents and staff at Greathed Manor.
During their welcome snack of squash and a biscuit, the children chatted comfortably with the residents, before finishing off their morning's performance with a rousing version of We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
Miss Carter and I were overwhelmingly proud of our singing superstars today and want all parents to know that they were a credit to you and to the school. Thank you to those parents who came with us and helped with transport; we hope you enjoyed your sneaky preview of some of our songs from tomorrow's service.
The choir and all the other children of Dormansland are looking forward to you joining us at St John's Church tomorrow from 9.15am. Don't forget to wear something Christmassy if you can!
