Fairtrade Fortnight - February/March 2018

This Fairtrade Fortnight we have grown another banana plant in school (admittedly our version, but a very good one - please do pop in and see it in the library), learnt about Fairtrade in a much wider sense and around the world, made footballs in a Bala football workshop, supported our local Fairtraders with a tuck shop and finished off our fortnight with a Bake-mazing Fairtrade Bake Off.   Categories included Fair-Aware and how many Fairtrade ingredients you could get in one recipe, Fair-Innovation - the most innovative recipe and finally Fair-Licious - an incredible tasting cake.  Congratulations to all our winners!

A huge done and thank you to all the children who participated, baking a huge selection of gorgeous goodies and then donating them to the Fairtrade Charity.  Today we made over £100 from our cake sale and because so many of you took part, we have enough cakes left to do it all over again tomorrow afternoon, after school.

Thank you to the PTA for holding a cake stall for us.

Thank you to our lovely Lingfield Fairtraders for their donation of footballs and their help in school this week.

Finally, a huge thank you to all our parents and their children for supporting Fairtrade Fortnight with us.
