Remembrance Assembly 2019

We were lucky with the weather when we walked our KS2 classes down to the village 'Remember Together' tree for our special assembly yesterday afternoon. The children had written some beautiful words in memory of the war fallen, and we enjoyed hearing a few of these read out as part of our assembly. We then took some time to reflect on those lives given through conflict and hung our messages on the branches of the tree.

We held a minute's silence and listened to 'The Last Post', during which the children were extremely respectful and reflective.

Our messages are still swinging from the tree, so please take a moment to read a few the next time you find yourself walking along near Newhache.
