Our learning this week:
The children this week have been experimenting with different 2d and 3d shapes. We went on a shape hunt around the school and found hundreds of different shapes and could discuss what they were called. On Wednesday we went outside and collected sticks to make our own shapes. We started my making regular shapes, before being set challenges of making objects with different shapes in them. Towards the end of the week we looked at repeating patterns. We got very good at spotting the next shape in the sequence.
In English this week we were visited by a scientist from Antarctica. He told us all about the experiments that he conducts whilst he is there and explained all about the wildlife and habitat. When we went back to our classroom we wrote all about the information that we had been told.
